Klang, biggest contributor of Covid-19 cases

KUALA LUMPUR – The Klang district has become the biggest contributor of Covid-19 positive cases after 301 infections were reported from there out of the 503 cases recorded in Selangor yesterday.

The State Health Department (JKNS) in a Facebook statement said that 274 cases were detected in the Klang province, meanwhile, 27 others were detected in the Kapar province. 204 of them were detected through employees screening.

Hulu Langat district was ranked second with 52 cases in the Kajang province (29), Cheras (10), Ampang (6), Beranang (6) and Semenyih (3).

“Petaling recorded 44 cases. 33 of them were from the Damansara province, Petaling (6) and Sungai Buloh (5). Meanwhile, 41 cases in Sepang were recorded in Dengkil,” said the statement.

The department also reported 25 cases in Kuala Langat, 19 in Gombak, 13 in Kuala Selangor, seven in Hulu Selangor and one in Sabak Bernam.

As of 12.00 pm yesterday, 283 Covid-19 patients in the state have recovered, shifting the total recoveries tally to 14,830 cases. Meanwhile, Covid-19 deaths remained at 34 cases in Selangor.
