KUALA LUMPUR – A surge of new Covid-19 positive cases were reported today, with 3,027 of new daily cases recorded, shifting the total tally of the disease to 128,465 cases.

This is also the highest number of daily Covid-19 cases recorded in the country since its first case last January. 3,021 cases were local infections, meanwhile, six other were imported cases.

Eight Covid-19 deaths were recorded today. The cumulative deaths due to the disease is 521 cases, said the Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah. –MalaysiaGazette
