KUALA LUMPUR – There is no appointment for the Deputy Prime Minister’s (DPM) post, said the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in a statement today.

“Rumours on the appointment for the Deputy Prime Minister’s post is also not true,” said the statement.

Sinchew Daily reported today that Prime Minister (PM), Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has surrendered the discussion on the selection of the Deputy Prime Minister post to Senior Minister of Defence Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein.

After their discussion, Muhyiddin was said would be making the final decision and announce the name of his deputy.

At the same time, the Prime Minister’s Office also said that the specialists treating Muhyiddin have certified that the PM is free from cancer.

Therefore, according to the statement, allegations that claim that the PM needs to go for follow-up cancer treatments are not true and have ill intentions. –MalaysiaGazette
