KUALA LUMPUR – The Second phase of Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN 2.0) cash aid for 11.06 million recipients will be made beginning 21 January 2021.
Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz said that the decision to speed up the payment was made following the various Movement Control Orders (MCO, Conditional MCO and Recovery MCO) announced by Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin two days ago.
According to him, the payment would involve 460,000 new recipients whose applications were approved during the appeal period from 15 October until 15 November.
The public can check on the approval from 15 January 2021 onwards at the BPN’s official portal, https://bpn.hasil.gov.my.
For the B40 group, the BPN 2.0 payment will be channelled beginning 21 January, meanwhile, for the M40 group and recipients without bank accounts, the payment would be made on 25 January.
Recipients in Sabah and Sarawak will begin to receive their BPN 2.0 in early February until 1 April 2021. –MalaysiaGazette
