SHAH ALAM – Former police Lance Corporal, pleaded guilty at the Sessions Court to six counts of corruption charges of receiving RM3,900 from the owner of a massage parlour between 2016 and 2017.

The accused, Mohd. Shahridhuan Zohir, 30, recorded the plea after the charges were read to him before Judge Yang Zaimey Yang Ghazali.

He was charged for receiving RM600 from the 42-year-old owner of a massage parlour on 3 December 2016. Besides that, he was also charged on five counts of receiving a total of RM3,300 along with other members with the ranks of corporal, lance corporal and constable from the same individual.

He is charged for committing the offences when he was a Lance Corporal at the Bandar Teknologi Community Police Station.

He is charged for committing the offences at JJ Harmony Spa, No. G21, Jalan Anggerik Perdana 2, Taman Anggerik, Semenyih between 5 October 2016 and 4 February 2017 and at Restoran Pecel Lele, Jalan Hentian 3, Off Jalan Reko, Kajang on 27 June 2016.

The charges were framed under Section 165 of the Penal Code and read together with Section 34 of the same code which provides imprisonment of not more than two years or fine or both.

The court fixed bail at RM5,500 with a surety for all charges and 15 February to listen to the facts of the case and sentencing. –MalaysiaGazette
