KUALA LUMPUR – The Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) has issued 850 traders temporary permits to those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic last year.
The Mayor of Subang Jaya, Noraini Roslan said that the measure was taken to assist the lower income group (B40) to regain their income.
“However, we emphasized that the recipients of the temporary licenses must comply with the regulations. Among them include, the business sites must not cause obstructions, take care of hygiene, health and safety.
“Therefore, we hope that the recipients of the licenses would grab the opportunity given by conducting their businesses according to the standard operating procedures (SOP),” she said when met at the Opening Ceremony of the Dataran Puchong Prima Hawker Centre yesterday.
Meanwhile Selangor Local Government Exco, Ng Sze Han said that the local authority (PBT) had issued the temporary licenses to traders who conduct their businesses at safe locations on 19 August.
“The measure would help the lower income group to generate income and help to stimulate economic growth,” he said. –MalaysiaGazette
