KUALA LUMPUR – Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz said that he has been infected by the Covid-19 virus after his screening result turned positive.

The Member of Parliament (MP) of Padang Rengas said that he was in Kota Bharu when he got the result, thus, he has to undergo his quarantine at the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital in Kota Bharu (HRPZII) yesterday.

Elaborating further, he said that he went for the Covid-19 screening after becoming a close contact to blogger, Zaharin Mohd Yasin, who is a Covid-19 patient.

“I was having a news conference to announce the withdrawal of my support for Tan Sri Muhyiddin at UMNO’s office in Kuala Lumpur and Zaharin was standing next to me.

“After Zaharin told me that he is positive of Covid-19, I went for the test and my result confirmed that I am Covid-19 positive,” he said.

Together with him during the news conference was the MP of Pasir Salak, Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman, who will be going for his Covid-19 screening this evening. –MalaysiaGazette
