KUALA LUMPUR – Datuk Seri Najib Razak, another close contact of Pasir Salak Member of Parliament (MP), Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman was tested negative for Covid-19.
The former Prime Minister had a meeting with Tajuddin at UMNO’s headquarters last Monday, along with the main leaders of UMNO, including Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Earlier, Ahmad Zahid also said that he is free from the Covid-19 virus.
“Negative. I think that this is the 15th time I went for the Covid-19 screening. Each time I go to Dewan Rakyat, I do the test. Travel interstate, I got my nose poked again.
“When there is a close contact being tested positive for Covid-19, another test. Alhamdullilah. The latest test yesterday turned negative too,” he said in his Facebook post today.
Tajuddin, who is also the election director of Barisan Nasional (BN) was tested positive of Covid-19 after sitting next to the MP of Padang Rengas, Datuk Seri Mohamad Nazri Aziz while the former minister held a news conference announcing his withdrawal of support to Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. Nazri, along with his wife and son, are tested positive for Covid-19.
Both of them are close contacts to blogger, Zaharin Mohd Yasin, who was tested positive of the disease. –MalaysiaGazette
