KUALA LUMPUR – A Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia’s Youth (Armada) Bureau Member suspected for distributing self-processed drugs was caught by the police.
The suspect, who is also a 35-year-old businessman was arrested by the police during a raid at the Fraser Business Park, Pudu on Wednesday.
The Kuala Lumpur Police Chief, Datuk Saiful Azly Kamaruddin said that the police arrested the suspect at around 1.45 pm.
The police seized 40 bottles containing 400 millilitres (ML) of liquid drugs, RM250 in cash and a motorcycle during the raid.
“We made another raid at the suspect’s house in Ampang, Selangor at around 1.00 am yesterday and we found seven marijuana plants and two seedlings,” he said when contacted today.
According to Saiful Azly, further inspections by the police also confiscated 1,500 grammes of marijuana, liquid marijuana (3,000 Ml), chemical liquid, marijuana, watering canisters and a BMW car believed to be owned by the suspect.
He added, the value of confiscation at the suspect’s house is estimated to worth RM60,760 involving RM4,500 of marijuana plants, RM3,000 of marijuana and liquid drugs worth RM53,100.
The suspect confessed to being involved with the activity since October last year.
“The police was also told that the suspect produced the drugs himself by mixing marijuana with ketamine, before selling them at RM300 per bottle outside,” he said.
The suspect is remanded for seven days beginning yesterday until 27 January to assist in the investigation under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act and Section 6B of the same act. –MalaysiaGazette
