KUALA LUMPUR – Renowned motivator and speaker, Datuk Azizan Osman shared his Covid-19 experience after becoming a close contact of a positive patient on 7 January.
In his Facebook post, Azizan said that besides him, he has 31 family members who were also infected by Covid-19 and his mother-in-law passed away due to the pandemic.
It was a painful and heavy experience for him.
“Covid-19 almost took my life. 1.44 pm, Friday, 15 January – I almost died! I could not breathe. The doctor told me that my chances were slim! But, something happened and it proved the power of Allah SWT.
“My family and I were tested by the Covid-19 virus. 31 of my family members were infected by Covid-19 and my mother-in-law has returned to the Creator.
“It is not easy for me to share how sad, painful and scary it was. But, it is very important for me to share as a mentor, I want you to know this process,” he said in his social media today.
Azizan, who is also the Founder of RichWorks International said that his tears almost rolled while sharing the experience, however, the support from his family and friends made him stronger.
“Time would determine if you stay or go. You cannot breathe. You can’t breathe in and you can’t breathe out. You can only use machines to keep you going and you fight using your mind, emotions and yourself.
“Do you want to live? Do you want to fight? That was the moment… and, Insya-Allah, this is the time for me to rectify everything. The second chance doesn’t come easy.
“I believe that Allah gave me this chance for me to do everything better, to be a better mentor,” he said.
Meanwhile, Azizan said that the Covid-19 pandemic did not only affect the lives of the people in sustaining their daily living, but it has also impacted him.
“A mother had to steal medications for her children, some seek income from trash.
“The government is considering a total lockdown which would impact the jobs of many people and businesses. The pressure, emotions and many other things were reported in the news.
“All these affect me very much and I still haven’t succeed in helping my nation succeed,” he said. –MalaysiaGazette
