The Pakatan Harapan government is urged to not remove the 33 critical allowance incentive schemes (BIPK) on all its new appointees which will be implemented on 1 January 2020.
A total of 1.5 million civil servants will be receiving a Special Aid amounting to RM500 each on 18 December.
The government under the Pakatan Harapan (PH) leadership has never borrowed to pay for the salaries of the civil servants.
All confirmed civil servants and pensioners will continue to enjoy the benefit and facilities under the Pension Scheme, said Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
A special payment of RM500 would be given to all Grade 54 and below civil servants as an appreciation from the government on their efforts and dedications in performing their duties.
Civil servants Grade 41 and below will receive an RM400 special aid while government pensioners will be receiving RM200, said Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
The increment was in appreciation for the service, sacrifice and hard work put in by the civil servants as a loyal friend of the government and would involve a financial implication of RM1.46 billion.
