KUALA LUMPUR – 2,936 new Covid-19 positive cases were reported today, turning the cumulative cases of the people infected by the disease in the country to 277,811 cases.

Based on the latest data by the Ministry of Health (MOH), 2,919 cases were local infections, meanwhile, 17 were imported.

The number of active Covid-19 cases in the country is 36,797 cases. Meanwhile, 220 Covid-19 patients are being treated at the Intensive Care Unit and 104 required respiratory support.

On the other hand, 4,889 Covid-19 patients have recovered from the disease within the past 24 hours, shifting the tally of patients recovering from the disease to 239,971 cases.

However, the ministry also reported 13 new Covid-19 deaths, thus the cumulative deaths in Malaysia is 1,043 cases. –MalaysiaGazette
