KUALA LUMPUR – A woman tried to commit suicide by jumping off the Jalan Maharajalela Monorail Station pedestrian bridge’s rooftop this morning.
The woman also held a knife and placed it on her neck to deter anyone from rescuing her. The incident took place at 8.57 am this morning.
However, the swift action from the fire and rescue team managed to save the 39 year-old old woman from the 30 feet high roof.
The Senior Operations Commander of the Fire and Rescue Department, Wan Hamizan Kamaruddin said that the victim did not sustain any injury. She has been sent to the police for further action. –MalaysiaGazette
