KUALA LUMPUR – Three construction workers have died after the structure of the crane launcher collapsed at the height of 120 feet and squashed a Perodua Bezza at the Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Expressway (SUKE) near Puncak Banyan, Persiaran Alam Damai, Kuala Lumpur at 8.45 am this morning.
According to a statement by the developer of the SUKE, Projek Lintasan Sungai Besi-Ulu Klang Sdn. Bhd (Prolintas), all construction workers are Chinese nationals.
Meanwhile, the Fire and Rescue Department said that one Malaysia citizen who is also the driver of the car sustained serious injuries after his car was smashed by the crane launcher.
Following that, the SUKE Emergency Response Team and the Fire and Rescue Department had closed the traffic flow from both sides of the highway while conducting search and rescue mission.
According to Prolintas, they are still investigating the cause of the incident. –MalaysiaGazette
