KUALA LUMPUR – Newly-weds, Neelofa and PU Riz or his real name, Haris Ismail continue to rake attention after several photos of them alleging to be having their honeymoon in Langkawi Island, Kedah, went viral in the social media yesterday.

Neelofa and Haris were seen at an airport, boarding a flight believed to be heading to the holiday island in those photographs.

The photos raked various reactions from the netizens, some questioned how the couple are allowed to travel interstate for honeymoon during the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).

However, some also thought that the former MeleTOP host and her husband had utilised the service of approved tour agency to travel interstate.

Neelofa and Haris were solemnised last Saturday in a closed event at a renowned hotel in the capital.

Earlier, the National Security Council (MKN) announced that residents in the states under the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) are allowed to travel to other RMCO states, by using the service of tour agencies registered under the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Arts (MOTAC) with effect of 10 March.

Based on the report by MKN today, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Penang, Kelantan and Sarawak are the six states under the CMCO. Meanwhile, eight other states namely, Kedah, Sabah, Terengganu, Sabah, Perak, Perlis, Negeri Sembilan and Melaka are under the RMCO.

The Dang Wangi District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Zainal Abdullah verified today that Neelofa and will called to give her statement on the compliance of standard operating procedures (SOP) during her wedding solemnisation ceremony which took place last Saturday.

A picture of her wedding, which was seen to not comply with the SOP determined by MKN, went viral in the social media and received various criticisms. –MalaysiaGazette
