KUALA LUMPUR – Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and Minister at Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan were among the ministers who had a meeting with the Prime Minister today.

Also present was Attorney-General Tan Sri Idrus Harun.

The residence of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has become a focal point since early this morning after UMNO decided to withdraw its support with immediate effect towards the Prime Minister last night.

Strings of government vehicles believed to be chauffeuring ministers, attorney-general and dignitaries were seen to enter the PM’s residence at 9.40 am.

The situation continued until around 12.47 pm, where vehicles chauffeuring dignitaries were spotted in and out of Muhyiddin’s house.

The meeting is believed to be related to the decision of UMNO Supreme Council meeting last night, where they withdrew their support for Muhyiddin with immediate effect.

Its President, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said that the support given by UMNO to Muhyiddin since March last year has been withdrawn after getting two-third of its Supreme Council votes. –MalaysiaGazette
