KUALA LUMPUR – The new Covid-19 positive cases continued to rise with a new record high of 20,596 cases today.

It has shifted the cumulative number of cases to 1,203,706.

Director-General of Health Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that Selangor remained as the biggest contributor of Covid-19 cases in the country by recording 8,549 cases.

It is followed by Kuala Lumpur with 2,163 cases and Kedah 1,446 cases.

Johor (1,300), Sabah (1,062), Penang (1,022), Negeri Sembilan (989), Perak (916), Sarawak (759), Kelantan (772), 622, Terengganu (501), Pahang (426), Putrajaya (50, Labuan 15 and Perlis 4.

The country broke the record with 19,819 Covid-19 positive cases yesterday. It also recorded the highest number of 257 Covid-19 deaths. –MalaysiaGazette
