KUALA LUMPUR – 257 Covid-19 patients have succumbed to the outbreak today, the highest Covid-19 death record so far.

At the same time, the Director-General of Health Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, said that the number of patients at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has also increased to 1,069 cases.

“553 required respiratory support,” he said in a statement today.

Meanwhile, 12,704 patients have recovered from the disease, shifting the total recoveries in the country to 962,733.

Earlier, he said that from the 19,819 new Covid-19 positive cases today, 23 were imported and the rest are local infection. –MalaysiaGazette
