BALIK PULAU – The police are hunting for a man who masturbated at a convenience store at Jalan Tun Sardon last Tuesday.
The incident that was recorded by a closed circuit television (CCTV) at the shop went viral in the social media.
The one minute 13 seconds footage showed the man masturbating near the rack displaying tissue papers at the convenience store.
The Barat Daya District Police Chief, Superintendent Kamarul Rizal Jenal said that the police received the report from a teenage girl working at the store at 2.45pm yesterday.
Police investigation found that the suspect entered the premise at 8.00 pm while the 17-year-old complainant was alone at the store.
“The suspect, whom she knew entered the store to shop while chatting about condom before walking towards the racks displaying tissue papers in the shop.
“Upon reaching that department, the suspect suddenly masturbated.
“Shocked by the suspect’s action, the victim hid in the store room to avoid unwanted incidences from happening,” he said when contacted today.
He added, the suspect left the location approximately 30 minutes later.
“No arrest has been made yet and we are currently tracking the suspect.
“The case is investigated under Section 377D of the Penal Code for gross indecency,” said Kamarul Rizal.
Therefore, Kamarul Rizal urged the public with information on the incident to come forward or contact their nearest police station to assist in the investigation. –MalaysiaGazette
