KUALA LUMPUR – 47.2 percent of the population in Malaysia or 15,429,300 individuals have completed their two doses of Covid-19 vaccination as of yesterday, said the Special Committee for Ensuring Access to COVID-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).

According to an infographic shared on its official Twitter handle, JKJAV said that as of yesterday, 20,115,233 individuals or 61.6 percent of the population have received their first dose of vaccine, shifting the cumulative vaccination through the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to 35,519,754 doses.

Based on the information, the fully vaccinated adult population have increased to 65.9 percent yesterday (Thursday), compared to 65.1 percent on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, 369,280 doses of vaccines have been administered yesterday, where 187,645 were second dose and the remaining 181,635 were first dose.

PICK was launch on 24 February this year to carry out vaccination programme to curb Covid-19 outbreak nationwide. –MalaysiaGazette
