KUALA LUMPUR – 41.6 percent of the population in Malaysia or 13,580,934 individuals have completed two doses of Covid-19 vaccination as of yesterday.

The Special Committee for Ensuring Access to COVID-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) shared the information on their official Twitter account also said that 18,631,593 individuals or 57.1 percent of the population have received their first dose of vaccination as of yesterday.

Thus, the cumulative vaccine administration through the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) has reached 32,212,527 doses.

According to the information, the percentage of adult population receiving two doses of vaccine has increased to 58 percent as of yesterday (Tuesday) compared to 56.9 percent on Monday.

Meanwhile, the daily vaccination yesterday has recorded an increment of 420,164 doses compared to 396,576 doses on Monday. From that amount, 265,160 were second dose while the remaining 155,004 were first dose.

PICK was launched on 24 February to provide Covid-19 vaccine to curb the spread of the outbreak nationwide. –MalaysiaGazette
