KUALA LUMPUR – Entrepreneur Datuk Seri Vida requested the netizens to stop mocking and criticising the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, Datuk Seri Rina Harun.
In an Instagram post, Vida, who is also the singer of I Am Me pleaded the social media users to stop disrespecting the leader.
“It is not nice to criticise her. Please do not mock her,” she wrote while attaching a picture of herself and the minister.
However, most of the netizens alleged that Vida likes to interfere, especially when there is a viral issue on the social media. Some also alleged that she was merely seeking publicity on a viral issue.
“She just merely wants to take a ride on the publicity. Wherever there is an issue, she would come in for a ride,” a netizen commented.
Rina came under the spotlight for cleaning a seemingly clean corridor with waterjet cleaner at a flood relief centre. Many slammed her action as a publicity gimmick. The Department of Social Welfare Malaysia (JKM) has clarified on the issue alleging that she was cleaning the corridor and drains from lizard and bird droppings. -MalaysiaGazette
