KUALA LUMPUR – The daily Covid-19 infections in the country remained below 3,000 cases with 2,690 cases reported today.
Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that the new figure contributed to the cumulative 2,767,044 Covid-19 cases in Malaysia to date.
He said, 19 Covid-19 patients have succumbed to the outbreak yesterday, and five of the cases were reported in Selangor.
The https://covidnow.moh.gov.my/ website reported that four of the deaths reported as of last midnight were Brought-in Dead (BID).
The report also revealed that 6,362 cases from the total Covid-19 deaths of 31,532 were BID cases.
There are currently 40,606 active cases in the country, where 33,393 individuals or 82.2 percent of them are under home quarantine; 3,460 cases have been admitted into the Low-Risk Covid-19 Quarantine and Treatment Centres (PKRC) while 3,459 cases are being treated at the hospitals.
Meanwhile, 93,017 doses of vaccine have been administered yesterday. 91,436 doses were booster shots, 737 doses were first dose and 844 individuals have completed two doses of vaccination yesterday.
At the moment, 97.7 percent of the adult population in the country have completed their vaccination, meanwhile, 87.6 percent of the teenagers have completed their vaccination. -MalaysiaGazette
