PAGOH – The Ministry of Health (MOH) has issued five compounds to the former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak over standard operating procedures (SOP) violation.

Minister of Health, Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar said that only one compound managed to be handed over to Najib’s officer. Meanwhile, his officer refused to receive four other compounds.

“We have issued five compounds to Datuk Seri Najib, only one was handed over. His officer refused to receive four other compounds on 8 March,” he said during his walkabout session with the Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for the Bukit Kepong state assembly, Ismail Mohamad at the FELCRA Bukit Kepong today.

Khairy said, all compounds were issued up to 8 March as Najib was holding his Johor state election campaign series.

All five compounds were issued due to the violation of SOP.

Khairy had ordered his officer to hand the four compounds to Najib again soon.

“We must hand it over to him and ensure that he receive the compounds,” said Khairy.

At the moment, the MOH is satisfied with the SOP compliance rate throughout the Johor state election campaign.

He also hoped that the voters would not worry about the Covid-19 infection and come out to vote by adhering to the requirements of the MOH.

“Generally, it is very good. We have improvised the SOP from time to time and political talks are allowed until 12.00 midnight. There is no need to put on face mask while delivering the political speech. This measure is welcomed by the candidates and the parties.

“Public health is still protected and we have issued many compounds to the leaders and political parties for not complying to the SOP. Generally, I see that the state election runs well from the angle of health SOP,” he added. -MalaysiaGazette
