KUALA LUMPUR – The Member of Parliament (MP) of Segambut, Hannah Yeoh slammed the Deputy President of UMNO, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan for blaming the Pakatan Harapan (PH) over the rejection for the amendment of Subsection 4(5) Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (SOSMA) at the Dewan Rakyat yesterday.
She said, the UMNO leader should have asked the MP from the government bloc who were not present at the Parliament for during the tabling of the motion.
“Tok Mat, check the hansard. Look at the list (MP name list). How many Members of Parliament from UMNO were absent during the sitting causing the government’s motion to fail.
“A good leader would improve their own weaknesses before pointing fingers at other people,” Hannah Twitted.
Tok Mat, check hansard tengok list UMNO sendiri berapa Ahli Parlimen tak hadir sidang menyebabkan usul kerajaan tak jadi lulus. Pemimpin yang baik akan perbaiki kelemahan rumah sendiri sebelum menuding jari kat orang lain. https://t.co/O71JTNPRaB

Hannah, along with 85 MPs from the opposition bloc voted against the SOSMA motion where it was not part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the government and the Pakatan Harapan.
They also alleged that the rejection would not affect the journey of MoU.
Through the bloc vote yesterday, the motion was only supported by 84 MPs who were present, 86 voted against the motion, meanwhile, 50 others were not present.
It was your Cabinet's indiscipline and Ministers not being in the House during the voting that caused the Government's motion to be rejected.
