KUALA LUMPUR – All civil servants, including those who did not complete their Covid-19 vaccination are eligible for Special Aidilfitri Financial Aid 2022.
“My announcement earlier never stated any payment exclusion to any civil servants according to the status of their vaccination.
“This is to ensure that no eligible civil servants or retirees would be missed out from this aid,” said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The Prime Minister said, he instructed the Director-General of Public Service, Datuk Seri Mohd Shafiq Abdullah (KPPA) to revoke Article 6(VI) from the Special Aidilfitri Financial Aid 2022 dated 8 April 2022.
However, other matters in the circular still apply, he said in a statement today.
Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri also urged all Keluarga Malaysia to complete their Covid-19 immunisation doses for everyone’s benefit.
The government announced the RM500 aid for all civil servants ranked Grade 56 and below on 5 April.
The gift will also be given to all contract staff and daily part-time officers appointed under MySTEP.
Meanwhile, the government also agreed to give the RM250 aid to government retirees.
The payment will be made together with their April salary on 25 April.
The special Aidilfitri aid involves an allocation of RM923 million and it would benefit more than two million civil servants and retirees. -MalaysiaGazette
