KUALA LUMPUR – Eight Covid-19 deaths were reported yesterday (25 April), including two cases of Brought-in-Dead.

According to the Ministry of Health (MOH) the addition shifted the Covid-19 death toll to 35,507 cases.

Selangor recorded five cases of Covid-19 death followed by two cases in Kedah and one death in Melaka.

Malaysia also recorded 2,478 new Covid-19 cases yesterday.

As of last midnight, there were 68,007 active cases in the country and 1,809 cases or 2.7% of the cases were under treatment in the hospitals.

From that amount 98 were being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and 63 cases required respiratory support.

Malaysia has recorded a cumulative of 4,433,551 Covid-19 cases as of last midnight. -MalaysiaGazette
