KUALA LUMPUR – The government is expected to discuss about the full implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) tomorrow.
Minister at Prime Minister’s Department (Parliament and Law), Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said, it would be decided in the National Security Council (MKN) meeting in Putrajaya.
The meeting that will be chaired by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at 3.00 pm will also be attended by all Menteri Besar and Chief Ministers.
“We will discuss and decide,” he said.
At the same time, Takiyuddin also said that the government view the Covid-19 infection rate in the country seriously and based on the statistics, the cumulative cases have reached almost half a million.
“Meanwhile, the death toll has breached 2,000 cases and we feel that this is a very worrying situation.
“All these while, we take measures by having MCO, Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) and the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) in total, in a targeted manned, depending on the situation to curb Covid-19.
“We delay those trivial matters first, our focus now is on the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said. –MalaysiaGazette
