KLANG – A Selangor State Exco is being investigated by the police after he allegedly violated the standard operating procedures (SOP) of the Movement Control Order (MCO) for holding the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration at his house.
The Kuala Langat District Police Chief, Superintendent Ahmad Ridhwan Mohd Nor said, the police detected the issue at around 5.45 pm on Thursday after the incident went viral in the Twitter.
“The picture uploaded by @SuzieMusa alleged that a Yang Berhormat (YB) with the rank of Exco in Selangor has held a Hari Raya celebration at his house in Tanjung Sepat, Kuala Langat.
“Following that, a police report was lodge and we are investigating the event,” he said.

According to him, an investigation paper has been opened and the investigation is conducted under Regulation 17 of Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within Infected Local Areas) Regulations 2021. –MalaysiaGazette
