KUALA LUMPUR – The interstate travel controversy to the carpet shop in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan has yet to subside but celebrity, Neelofa is once again, being investigated by the police for violating the standard operating procedures (SOP) of the Movement Control Order (MCO) during the Aidilfitri celebration with her family.

The Brickfields District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Anuar Omar said, they received a report at around 10.25 pm yesterday involving the family of the celebrity who celebrated 1 Syawal at a house in Pinggir Zaaba, Taman Tun Dr. Ismail.

“Based on investigation, the 26-second viral video was uploaded onto her sister’s Instagram account.

“The video showed their family members gathering at a house during 1 Syawal and it has been shared by netizens through Twitter.

“The case is still under police investigation,” he said in a statement today.

According to Anuar, the case is investigated under Regulation 17 P.U (A) 225/2021.

Elaborating further, Anaur said that the government has announced the implementation of MCO 3.0 SOP in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur that will be enforced from 7 until 20 May, by banning interstate and inter-district travel, with the exception of police approval.

Therefore, Anuar advised the public not to make any speculations about the viral video involving the family of the celebrity and he also requested everyone to obey the rules set by the government.

“Any activity that violates SOP including the abuse of interstate travel permit could be taken action according to the law.
