KUALA LUMPUR – The Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2020 result has recorded a better performance with the National Average Grade (GPN) score of 4.80 compared to 4.86 in 2019.
Senior Minister of Education Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin said, that GPN score is also the best achievement in five years.
“I would like to remind you that a lower GPN score shows a better achievement of the candidates.
“Thus, in 2019, the score was 4.86 and with 4.80 in 2020, this shows that the candidates had a better achievement in 2020,” he said in a news conference on the SPM 2020 result today.
At the same time, Radzi also revealed that the achievement of candidates from the rural areas is better than the candidates in the urban areas.
He added, 88.68 percent from the 401,105 candidates who registered for SPM 2020 qualified to receive the certificate of the national examination.
Candidates can access their results online at myresult1.moe.gov.my or myresult2.moe.gov.my from 10.00 am on 10 June until 6.00 pm on 17 June.
The students may get their official result slip from 14 June onwards at myresult3.moe.gov.my. Meanwhile, the official SPM certificate will be released in stages from 10 July.
According to Radzi, for students without internet access, their respective schools will identify the candidates and inform them of the best method to get their results. -MalaysiaGazette
