KUALA LUMPUR – The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) will be introducing the new i-Citra withdrawal scheme for its contributors who are affected by the Movement Control Order (MCO).
Prime Minister said, 12.6 million EPF members would be able to make a withdrawal of up to RM5,000 over the period of five months, depending on their savings.
“The implementation of i-Citra would channel RM300 billion to the people to support their needs,” he said during the announcement of Perlindungan Rakyat dan Pemulihan Ekonomi (Pemulih) People’s Well-Being and Economic Recovery Package.
EPF members can submit their application via the EPF i-Citra website at icitra.kwsp.gov.my beginning 15 July.
The first payment would be credited to the account of its members in August 2021. –MalaysiaGazette
