KUALA LUMPUR – Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) Youth regrets the attitude of some Members of Parliament (MPs) who did not obey the instruction of the Yang di-Pertua Agong who specifically asked them to keep their statutory declaration (SD) confidential.
Its Deputy Youth Chief, Muhammad Taqiuddin Cheman said, he did not undersand who some MPs find it difficult to follow and obey the order.
“This is an official order from the Istana. It was clearly stated, do not disclose any information to the public.
“Not only that they reveal their SD, they even recorded their conversation with Yang di-Pertuan Agong and reveal it,” he said.
A video of a PAS MP went viral yesterday for violating the non-disclosure order of keeping their support confidential.
In the one minute five seconds video, the Sik MP, Ahmad Tarmizi Sulaiman stated his support for Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob as the ninth Prime Minister of Malaysia during his interview with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
Earlier the Sepanggar MP from Parti Warisan Sabah, Datuk Azis Jamman also made the same violation by sharing a picture of his SD which clearly and openly stated his support for Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the new Prime Minister.
According to Muhammad Taqiuddin who is also the State Assemblyman (ADUN) of Pulai Sebatang, he had to call their actions out for violating the non-disclosure order.
“As it has been widely circulated, thus, it would be good for me to reprimand everyone involved, not only to that individual who recorded his conversation with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
“Obey the process and secrecy ordered by the Agong. Be patient even if you are confident with the numbers you have. Respect the institution and allow the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to act according to his wisdom and role in the Constitution,” he said, sharing that he is ashamed and sad with the attitude of the PAS member who recorded and distributed his conversation with the King.
“Do you realise that your attitude and action has invited more questions from the public and tarnished the Istana?
“Haven’t you learned from the anger of expressed by the Istana towards your Secretary-General over his disobedience?
“May Allah protect us all from such ravenous and hasty attitude,” he said. –MalaysiaGazete
