KUALA LUMPUR – Datuk Seri Najib Razak has been blamed by the netizens as the withdrawal limit for i-Citra of the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) has not been raised from RM5,000 to RM10,000.
However, he said that he is not the Prime Minister or the Finance Minister.
Nevertheless, the former Prime Minister said that he never stopped highlighting that issue because he was among the earliest people who recommended the i-Lestari scheme.
“The one who demanded for i-Sinar despite PM8 and other MPs said that it was too tough and they gave terms and conditions likened to Mount Ledang, was me.
“The one who objected to the excessively strict i-Sinar terms in the beginning until it was then relaxed, was me.
“The one being attacked and reprimanded by the PN Government’s engine, including JKOM for demanding i-Sinar back then, was me. The one who fought for i-Citra during the start of MCO 3.0, was me.
“The one who is being blamed as the withdrawal limit for i-Citra has yet to be raised from RM5k to RM10k despite I’m not the Minister of Finance of PM?” he said in his Facebook post today.
Najib also said that he would be debating at the Dewan Rakyat sitting this evening and he would not forget about the i-Citra withdrawal limit.
However, he would focus more on seeking solution and giving suggestions to the government to help recover the savings of the people in EPF, and ways that the government can assist the people in creating personal wealth. -MalaysiaGazette
