KUALA LUMPUR – Covid-19 positive cases had exceeded the 8,000 mark today with 8,084 cases being reported within the last 24 hours.

Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the increment has shifted the total number of cases in the country to 2,369,613 cases.

Yesterday, the outbreak recorded 7,950 cases and it remained below the 8,000 cases mark for several days in a row.

Earlier this morning, the COVIDNOW website showed that 68 Covid-19 deaths were recorded as of yesterday.

From that amount, 12 cases were brought in dead. -MalaysiaGazette
