KUALA LUMPUR – 5,082 Covid-19 patients have recovered from the disease today, an increment of 174 cases compared to yesterday.

It has shifted the total recoveries in the country to 2,503,427 cases, said the Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

Earlier, he said that 5,755 new positive cases were reported today, with 98.2 percent or 5,654 cases were under Category 1 and 2.

“101 cases (1.8%) were under Category 3, 4 and 5,” he said in a statement.

Meanwhile, 506 cases are being treated at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and 270 required respiratory support.

At the same time, eight new Covid-19 clusters have been identified today.

“There are 234 active clusters, 5,672 clusters have ended,” he added, stating that the infection rate in the country remained at 1.0. -MalaysiaGazette
