KUALA LUMPUR – 48 new Covid-19 deaths were reported by the Ministry of Health (MOH) as of 12 midnight, bringing the death toll to 30,956.

According to the data published by the MOH through COVIDNOW, 12 out of 48 deaths were reported outside the hospital (Brought in Dead / BID).

Penang had the highest death with eight cases, followed by Kelantan (6), Sabah (6), Terengganu (6), Selangor (5), Perak (4), Johor (3), Negeri Sembilan (3), Kedah (2), Kuala Lumpur (2), Pahang (1), Sarawak (1) and Labuan (1).

However, no Covid-19 death was reported in Melaka, Perlis and Putrajaya.

There are currently 57,674 active cases nationwide. From that amount, 47,600 individuals (82.5 percent) are under home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 5,280 individuals are placed at the Covid-19 Quarantine and Treatment Centre (PKRC).

4,412 cases are being treated at the hospital and 382 are admitted into the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). -MalaysiaGazette
