KUALA LUMPUR – 29 Covid-19 deaths were reported yesterday, said the Ministry of Health (MOH) today.

From that amount, eight cases were Brought in Dead (BID).

With the new increment, the Covid-19 death toll in the country has climbed to 30,908 cases.

Terengganu recorded the highest deaths with five cases, followed by Negeri Sembilan and Kuala Lumpur with four cases each.

Selangor, Kelantan, Sabah and Sarawak recorded three deaths each while Penang, Kedah, Pahang and Perlis recorded one case respectively.

Meanwhile, Putrajaya, Melaka, Johor, Perak and Labuan did not report any Covid-19 death.

25 out of the 29 deaths happened within the last seven days.

As of last midnight, 594 Covid-19 deaths have been reported within this month in Malaysia.

According to MOH, there are 57,926 active cases in the country, including 408 cases in the intensive care unit (ICU) and 206 cases required respiratory support.

The cumulative Covid-19 cases in the country has reached 2,695,143 cases. – MalaysiaGazette
