SHAH ALAM – The Gombak PKR Chief, Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari is ready to face anyone who wishes to challenge him for the position in the party election next month.

However, Amirudin said, he would not comment further on the matter before his challengers, including Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak register themselves on 8 April.

“Yes (ready to face any challenger) but the registration or nomination is on 8 April 2022. Before that date, everything is still in hypothesis or planning.

“Even when we eat, sometimes, we got distracted and not feed ourselves with the food, so, I don’t want to comment about it yet.

“I will comment after 8 April,” he said during a news conference at the lobby of the Sultan Sallahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah (SSAAS) Building today.

On 7 February 2022, Farhash, who is also the Perak PKR Chairman said that he will be contesting in the Gombak division against the Menteri Besar of Selangor.

According to Farhash, his decision was not only in line with democracy but also in accordance with the rules and providence of the party.

Amirudin was seen as a strong supporter of the former Deputy President of PKR, Datuk Seri Mohamad Azmin Ali, who was among the individuals who caused the fall of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) administration through the Sheraton Move in February 2020.

The PKR election for the 2022-2025 session will take place from 22-29 April, meanwhile, its National Congress will be held from 10 – 12 June. -MalaysiaGazette
