KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysians are still taking precautionary measures by practising the standard operating procedures (SOP) to overcome pandemic despite the government has relaxed its enforcement yesterday (1 May).

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob praised the attitude shown by the people who practise self-control to protect themselves and their family from Covid-19.

“When I came here, many people who were walking to this mosque were still wearing face mask. This means that the people are still cautious, practising self-control for their own health, and the safety of their children and family members.

“Alhamdullilah (Praise God), although granted the freedom, they are not excessive, they are still cautious,” he told the journalists at the Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur Mosque today.

Earlier, Prime Minister accompanied the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Ri’ayatuddin Billah Shah and Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah to perform their Aidilfitri Prayer at the mosque.

From 1 May onwards, the usage of face mask outside building and open spaces is no longer mandatory but an option.

However, face mask is compulsory inside the building and public transport, including the e-hailing vehicles.

Besides that, the MySejahtera QR Code check-in SOP prior to entering a premise has also been abolished.

Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri reminded the people to always be cautious whine visiting their family and friends throughout the Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

“Selamat Hari Raya to all Muslims, wherever you are, as we are celebrating Hari Raya merrily and happily, I advise everyone to always be cautious and practice self-control t ensure that our family and the community are protected and granted the best health,” he said. -MalaysiaGazette
