KUALA LUMPUR – The police arrested five more individuals over the two Raya videos promoting online gambling.

The law enforcer has also successfully arrested the main suspect, Loh Kee Hoe, 35, who produced the two videos.

The Dang Wangi District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Zainal Abdullah verified the arrests and said that all suspects have been arrested around Kuala Lumpur and Selangor between 10.00 pm last night and 6.00 am this morning.

“The investigation of the two viral Raya videos promoting online gambling has brought to the arrest of five other suspects.

“The arrest includes the main suspect hunted by the police who was believed to receive orders from the online gambling syndicate to produce the video.

“With this, the total arrests for the case is 18 individuals,” he said in a statement.

According to Mohamad Zainal, the five new detainees will be remanded this morning.

“They consist of the film director, singer and composer. They will be remanded at the Dang Wangi lockup this morning to assist into the police investigation.

“Investigation is ongoing to track the online gambling syndicate,” he said.

The case is investigated under Section 504 of the Penal Code and Section 4(1)(g) of the Common Gaming Houses Act 1955. -MalaysiaGazette
