KLANG – The main suspect in the bodyguards assault case and pointing a gun at one of the bodyguard’s head for fasting will be charged at the Klang Magistrate Court today.
The 43 year-old suspect would be facing four charges before Magistrate P. Sarulatha.
The suspect who was clad in a blue polo shirt arrived at the court at 9.10 am, escorted by approximately 10 policemen from the Klang Selatan District Police Headquarters (IPD).
He was also seen together with his personal assistant who as clad in cream coloured t-shirt under tight police escort.
The suspect is expected to be charged under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation by pointing a gun at one of the victim (second victim).
The employer to the two bodyguards are also facing charges under Section 109/324 of the Penal Code for abetting by instructing his personal assistant to harm the two victims with a cane.
Besides that, the suspect, who is also a businessman would be charged under Section 323 of the Penal Code for slapping and attacking the abdomen of the second victim, with his knee.
Meanwhile, the fourth charge would be framed under Section 298 of the Penal Code by uttering words with deliberate intention of wounding the religious feelings of the two victims.
Meanwhile, his assistant would be charge under Section 324 of the Penal Code for causing injuries with a cane.
On 15 April, the Klang Selatan police arrested four individuals who are suspected to be involved in the incident involving two men who were assaulted on their back for fasting.
The Klang Selatang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Shamsul Amar Ramli said in a statement that the police received a report at 4.16 pm at the Klang Police Station on 15 April.
The two victims were beaten with a cane by their employer and his staff. –MalaysiaGazette
