KUALA LUMPUR – The government has agreed to advise Yang Dipertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah to hold the Third Term of 14th Parliament Sitting for five days from 26 until 29 July.
Meanwhile, the Dewan Negara will sit for three days from 3 until 5 August.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the Cabinet Ministers’ note have been distributed to the Cabinet Ministers on the matter.
It said in a statement, the sitting would be held to amend law and regulations that could enable a hybrid Parliament sitting.
It would also brief the Members of Parliament on the National Recovery Plan presented by the Prime Minister recently.
“Based on Clause (3) Article 150 of the Federal Constitution, a Proclamation of Emergency and any ordinance made by the Yang DiPertuan Agong shall be laid before both Houses of Parliament,” it said. –MalaysiaGazette
