KUALA LUMPUR – The new daily Covid-19 cases in Malaysia have exceed 20,000 cases two days consecutively with 20,889 cases reported today.

Sharing the latest data on his social media, Director-General of Health Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that the increment has shifted the cumulative Covid-19 infections in the country to 1,224,595 cases.

Selangor is the largest contributor to the daily cases with 8,792 cases.

It is followed by Kuala Lumpur with 2,483 cases and Kedah with 1,371 cases.

Sabah (1,291), Johor (1,275), Negeri Sembilan (986), Kelantan (938), Penang (776), Sarawak (652), Perak (624), Pahang (610), Melaka (491), Terengganu (460) and Putrajaya (122).

Meanwhile, two states recorded less than 10 cases in Labuan and Perlis, which recorded nine cases each.

Yesterday, the Ministry of Health reported a new record high of 20,596 cases. –MalaysiaGazette
