KUALA LUMPUR – Clean and safe water has be supplied to the areas affected by the Sungai Semenyih Water Treatment Plant (LRA Sg Semenyih) stop work in stages from 7.00 am this morning. The LRA Sg Semenyih had to be ceased following an odour pollution incident at Sungai Semenyih.
Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) has conducted water quality tests and it met the standard determined by the Ministry of Health (MOH).
The treated water from LRA Sg Semenyih has also been verified safe for distribution to the consumers by the National Water Service Commission (SPAN).
At the moment, Air Selangor is working on stabilising the water distribution system to all affected areas.
Water supply to all 463 affected areas will resume in stages and it is projected to achieve full recovery by 12.00 am on 3 September 2021. –MalaysiaGazette
