PUTRAJAYA – The daily Covid-19 positive cases has shown an increment of 1,186 cases to the current 19,733 cases within the last 24 hours.

The increment shifted the cumulative Covid-19 cases to 1,900,467, said the Ministry of Health (MOH).

Sarawak has become the largest contributor of daily Covid-19 cases for four days consecutively by recording the highest number of daily cases with 3,100 although it has a slight reduction of 100 cases compared to 3,200 cases yesterday.

It is followed by Selangor with 2,989 positive cases today, compared to 2,407 cases yesterday.

On the cumulative cases aspect, Selangor maintained its lead with a total of 630,575 cases to date.

Sabah recorded 2,067 daily positive cases compared to 2,107 cases yesterday, followed by Johor with 1,867 cases today, a drop from 2,174 cases yesterday.

Johor has recorded a cumulative of 155,500 cases to date.

The daily infections in Kuala Lumpur has shrunk to 537 cases from 631 cases yesterday, meanwhile, Putrajaya recorded 29 cases today, an increment of seven cases versus yesterday.

Up north in Kedah recorded 1,568 cases. Penang reported an increment of 700 cases to 2,474 cases from the 1,776 cases recorded yesterday. It has breached the 100,000 cumulative cases mark with 100,906 cases to date.

Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang recorded 1471, 904 and 700 cases respectively, meanwhile, Negeri Sembilan recorded 256 positive cases today.

With the exception of Selangor, all states recorded a cumulative of below 200,000 cases, meanwhile, Perlis is the only state that recorded a cumulative of 2,466 cases. -MalaysiaGazette
