KUALA LUMPUR – The former Chief Executive (CEO) of Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad, Datuk Rohana Rozhan verified that she has met the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
In a brief statement issued by her lawyer, Messrs Valen, Oh & Partners, Rohana said that she will give her full cooperation to the anti-graft agency in its investigation.
“I refer to the allegations appearing in the media about me.
“I’ve attended the offices of the MACC and given them my full cooperation in their investigations,” she said as reported in The Edge Markets.
It was understood that Rohana went to the MACC yesterday (24 February).
On Tuesday (22 February), the former executive of Goldman Sachs, Tim Leissner testified in Roger Ng’s trial that he used 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) money to buy a US$10 million (approximately RM41.8 million) home in London after his then lover, Datuk Rohana Rozhan blackmailed to expose him in 2013.
According to the report by Bloomberg, Rohana was then the CEO of Astro.
Leissner is the star prosecution witness in the 1MDB trial involving former Goldman Sachs executive, Roger Ng, that is currently ongoing at the United States Federal Court. -MalaysiaGazette
