BALIK PULAU – A teacher has been identified as one of the big bikers involved with illegal racing and dangerous riding activities at the Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge (Penang Bride II).

MalaysiaGazette was told that the action took place in December last year and part of the video was release on 13 December, before the rest of the video went viral yesterday.

At the moment, the police have detected two individuals involved in the act and an arrest will be made to assist in the investigation.

Yesterday, a 45 seconds video showing the act of the big bikers riding dangerously by lifting their front wheel on the Second Penang Bridge went viral.

The dangerous act was recorded by one of the riders who is believed to be part of the group.

Besides that, the video also showed motorcycle dashboard of the cameraman riding above 280 kilometres per hour (km/hr).

Earlier, the Barat Daya District Police Chief, Superintendent Kamarul Rizal Jenal said that the police received a report on the act.

“We have identified the registration number and we are currently tracking the riders involved to complete our investigation.

“The police view this incident seriously and advise all motorists to obey the law,” he said in a news statement.

The case will be investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
