PETALING JAYA – Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will be defending his position as the President of PKR in the party election next month.
In a statement, the Member of Parliament (MP) of Port Dickson said, he has submitted the application via the ADIL mobile application.
“Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will be defending the post as the President of PKR for the 2022/2024 term.
“He has submitted the application to contest via the ADIL application at 12.14 pm,” his office said today.
Anwar was hailed as the new President of PKR for 2018-2021 in September 2018.
Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali won the Deputy President post after he defeated the Vice-President of PKR, Rafizi Ramli.
That was also the first election after PKR formed the government when Pakatan Harapan won the 14th General Election (GE14) in style.
However, the government only lasted for 22 months. -MalaysiaGazette
