KUALA LUMPUR – Bella, the Down Syndrome girl who was allegedly abused at Rumah Bonda under the care of Siti Bainun Ahd Razali may go for an identification process at the Sessions Court today.
According to a source, Bella will be summoned by the prosecution for an identification session on the accused.
Several other residents of the condominium where Bella was abused will also be present during the identification.
Siti Bainun, 30, pleaded not guilty to two counts of child neglect and abuse of the differently abled teenager, causing the victim to suffer from physical and emotional injuries.
She was charged with committing the offence at a condominium in Wangsa Maju between February and June 2021.
The charges are framed under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child’s Act 2001, which carries a maximum 20 years’ jail sentence or RM50,000 fine or both upon conviction.
